Youngsville, LA (May 12, 2026) – At approximately 1:00 p.m. at Southside High School, Youngsville Police Department School Resource Officers were notified of a social media image circulating online that appeared to show a student pointing a firearm near a window.
Following an investigation, officers identified the student involved, who admitted the image was AI-generated.

As a result of the investigation, the student was charged with Terrorizing under Louisiana Revised Statute 14:40.1.
