Broussard, January 12, 2023
On January 12, 2023, at approximately 7:25 AM, Officers with the Broussard Police Department responded to the 1200 block of S. Bernard Rd. for a crash involving a single vehicle that impacted a home.
Upon officers’ arrival officers verified there were no injuries and began investigating the crash. Officers verified that the vehicle being operated by Brittany Nicol left the roadway and struck a home. Nicol, 33, of Carencro was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor warrants along with additional charges of reckless operation, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and no insurance.
Nicol was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Toxicology results are pending.
