UPDATE: Due to the uncertainty of the weather on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, the Public Hearing, Special Board Meeting and Regular Board Meeting for the Lafayette Parish School Board will be canceled. All meetings will be rescheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2024. An agenda for all meetings will be available by Monday, September 16, 2024.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Article 7, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and La. R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing and special board meeting of the Lafayette Parish School Board in Lafayette Parish will be held at its regular meeting place in the Lafayette Parish School Board District Office Board Room located at 202 Rue Iberville, Lafayette, LA 70508 on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. followed by the Special Board Meeting to begin at 4:30 p.m. to consider levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval or adopting the adjusted millage rates after reassessment and rolling forward to rates not to exceed the prior year’s maximum.
The estimated amount of tax revenues to be collected in the next year from the increased millage as compared to the amount of tax revenue for the current year, and the amount of increase in taxes attributable to the millage increase are as follows for each millage:
