Youngsville, LA (June 2, 2025) — Big changes are coming to traffic patterns in Youngsville this week, as Mayor Ken Ritter announces the official opening of the Broussard/Youngsville Connector. This will improve traffic flow and provide access between the two cities.
The Broussard/Youngsville Connector is set to open on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, providing a much-needed new route between the cities of Youngsville and Broussard. The new connector will ease congestion and improve access across the growing region.
At the same time, a temporary closure will go into effect on Youngsville Highway, from Heart D Farm Road to Fortune Road, to begin construction on the next phase of the highway widening project. This project will widen the roadway to four or five lanes, with the goal of improving traffic flow and long-term capacity.
The closure is expected to last approximately 90 to 120 days.
