Project will increase accessibility and alleviate traffic on two of Lafayette’s busiest roads

Lafayette, LA – Construction on the first phase of extending Lake Farm Road has begun. The project will be done in two phases starting with extending the road from Kaliste Saloom Road to Settlers Trace Boulevard.

The new road will not only enhance accessibility, provide an alternative route, and alleviate traffic on Kaliste Saloom Road and Ambassador Caffery Parkway, but it will also pave the way for future development.

Travel on Settlers Trace Boulevard won’t be affected by construction during the busy holiday shopping season between Black Friday and after the new year. Phase I is expected to be completed in late 2024.

The second phase, expected to start late next year, will extend the road from Frem Boustany Drive to Verot School Drive.
