LAFAYETTE, La. (Jan. 29, 2024) – Starting Monday, February 5, 2024, Bluebird Drive will be closed at the bridge crossing between Comeaux Recreation Center and Ovey Comeaux High School (OCHS). This first phase of the closure is estimated to remain in place for two months.
The closure will then move to the park’s west side for another two months (four months total, possibly extending for weather-related work stoppages). This closure is necessary to connect the new pavement section currently under construction to the existing bridge structure.
Motor vehicles will need to access OCHS via East Martial Avenue or Digby Avenue, or East Bluebird Drive coming from Camellia Boulevard. Detour signs will be made available.
