Lafayette, LA – Due to the recent severe weather, many roadways across the area are experiencing significant flooding and standing water. Authorities are urging all drivers to exercise extreme caution and avoid travel if possible.
The following roads are confirmed closed due to flooding:
- Fortune Road between Bonin Road and Youngsville Highway.
- Evangeline Thruway from the tacks to Pinhook Road
- N. University at the Underpass
- Jefferson Street and the surrounding streets in Downtown Lafayette
- 5900 block of Ambassador Caffery Pkwy
- 1400 block of Moss St
- 500 block of St. Landry St
- 700 block of Surrey St
- 700 block of Tideland Rd
- 100 block of Market Place
The following roadways are also experiencing flooding as a result of the weather:

- 600 block of Goldman Rd

- 400 block of 8th St
- 400 block of E Willow St
- 900 block of W Congress St
- 1500 blocl of Louisiana Ave
- 300 block of Moss St
