Longtime television news anchor duo will change channels after more than a decade to join NEWS 15 – ‘Your Local News Authority’ on KADN/KLAF.
Lafayette, LA – Marcelle Fontenot and Jim Hummel, popular fixtures of Acadiana’s television news landscape will be making the move to a new home effective Tuesday, January 2, 2024, when they debut with the NEWS 15 team and become a part of the most experienced anchor lineup in the Lafayette television market.
“I’m excited about what the future holds for me and Jim as we continue doing what we love in this community,” says Fontenot. Adds Hummel, “I’m looking forward to returning to the television news anchor desk alongside my colleague and friend Marcelle.”
Come January 2, 2024, the pair will anchor NEWS 15 Live at Five (which is simulcast on KADN-Fox and KLAF-NBC) as well as NEWS 15 at Six and NEWS 15 at Ten (both on KLAF-NBC). Jeff Horchak and Lauren Ailles will continue to anchor NEWS 15 at Nine on FOX 15, and Ailles will join Taylor Trache on NEWS 15 First at Four on FOX 15.
