Bares Sworn in for Youngsville Council Member

Youngsville resident Sharon Bares was sworn in this afternoon as Council Member Division A on the Youngsville City Council. Bares was victorious in last Saturday’s special election to fill the unexpired term of former council member Kayla Menard-Reaux, who resigned from the seat in April of 2023.

Bares was elected with 2,271 votes (60.6%), while her opponent Ann Istre, received 1,510 votes (39.94%).

Logan Lanoo was appointed as interim council member for Division A until the special election was held.
