Lafayette Parish – Lafayette Parish 911 has been recognized as an elite organization adhering to professional excellence in all operational and administrative functional responsibilities by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), considered the Gold Standard for Public Safety Accreditation. Lafayette Parish 911 was awarded the distinction on November 11, 2023, and it is one of only two parish 911 centers in Louisiana to become fully accredited.

During the four-year assessment period, Lafayette Parish 911’s policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services were reviewed by external CALEA assessors to ensure compliance with CALEA standards. The assessors found no issues during this period.

The accreditation lasts four years when Lafayette Parish 911 will again be assessed for compliance with the CALEA standards.
