Arrests in Youngsville Burglaries

YOUNGSVILLE, La. (Jan. 22, 2024) – On January 2, 2024, the Youngsville Police Department responded to a report of several burglaries at the Red Dot Storage in the 2700 block of Youngsville Highway. Upon arrival, officers found that numerous storage units had been burglarized inside the Red Dot Storage facility.

Within forty-eight hours, detectives with the Youngsville Police Department were able to develop suspects and obtain evidence linking said suspects to the crimes. Detectives have since arrested Javaughn Jean Batiste, age thirty-one, charged with eighteen counts of Simple Burglary, and Emilee Walden, age twenty-six, with twelve counts of Simple Burglary. Both were charged and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the above charges.

Currently, the Youngsville Police Department has active warrants for two more suspects in connection with this crime, and their information is as follows:

  • Wyatt James Curtis – White / Male DOB: 10/06/1997
  • Lea Elizabeth Jackson – White / Female DOB: 07/04/1995
