LAFAYETTE, La. (Feb. 5, 2024) – To address Mardi Gras litter and waste, Keep Lafayette Beautiful received a grant from Keep Louisiana Beautiful and recently launched the Clean Up Krewe.

The Clean Up Krewe will provide litter bags to all float riders to adequately dispose of trash and bead bins along the parade route for recycling unwanted beads. More than 700 AWS garbage cans have been placed along the parade route.

Keep Lafayette Beautiful urges parade goers and riders to treat property along the parade route like theirs, packing what they brought and throwing away trash around.
