BROUSSARD, LA (Apr. 9, 2024) – Broussard’s Krewe de Acadian and Youngsville’s Krewe La Vie Doux are having a Hamburger Cookoff – Bringing Your Our Burgers – this weekend. Proceeds from the event will support local fire departments.
The cookoff will be held on April 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stine Home + Yard, 6501 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Broussard, Louisiana.
Chris Logan from Planet Radio 106.7 will be the master of ceremonies for the event.
The cookoff event will include food and live music. The Raikwon Green Band, David Bourque, and DJ Jokenson will provide the music.
There will be a Kids’ Corner at the event, with various things for children to enjoy. The Kids’ Corner will have a petting zoo, face painting, board games, and more.
The International Order of Mrs. Ropers (ladies dressed up as Mrs. Roper from the Three’s Company television show) will be at the cookoff.
The event is free for the public. Tickets, $1 per ticket, will be available in sheets of ten tickets to taste the hamburgers. Those purchasing tickets will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of twelve door prizes, valued from $10 to $250 (the grand prize).
Currently, there are twenty participants scheduled for the hamburger cookoff.
The Krewes request no outside food or drinks be brought into the event and no ice chests.
