The cities of Youngsville and Lafayette will hold a National Day of Prayer service on May 2, 2024.

The United States Congress designates the National Day of Prayer. It is observed on the first Thursday in May and asks people “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” This year’s prayer theme is “Life Up the Word, Light Up the World.”

The National Day of Prayer was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. [National Day of Prayer]
