- Collaborate with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to develop comprehensive safety plans and provide education on crime prevention strategies.
- Set a New Standard of Excellence:
- Invest in cutting-edge training and professional development programs for officers, equipping them with the latest skills, knowledge, and best practices in community policing, de-escalation techniques, and crisis intervention.
- Utilize advanced technology, such as body cameras and real-time crime centers, to enhance transparency, accountability, and evidence gathering capabilities, while also protecting the rights and privacy of citizens.
- Foster a culture of integrity, professionalism, and service within the department, recognizing and rewarding officers who demonstrate exceptional performance and commitment to the community.
- Achieve CALEA® Accreditation:
- Pursue CALEA® accreditation to demonstrate the department’s commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in public safety.
- Implement best practices and policies that are nationally recognized and proven to reduce liability risks, thereby protecting the department from frivolous lawsuits and saving taxpayer dollars.
- Enhance community trust and confidence by showcasing the department’s adherence to strict standards of accountability, transparency, and ethics.
A Candidate That Embodies Youngsville’s Values
As a conservative candidate, Broussard understands the values and expectations of Youngsville’s residents. Growing up, his great-grandparents, who were both elected law enforcement officials, instilled in him the importance of integrity, service, and community. Broussard recalls, “My great-grandfather always said, ‘A true leader serves others, not themselves.’ That philosophy has guided me throughout my career and will continue to guide me as Youngsville’s Chief of Police.”
