LAFAYETTE, LA (Jun. 15, 2024, 1:50 p.m.) – Regarding yesterday’s shooting incident in the 100 block of Van Buren Drive at around 8:04 p.m. The 15-year-old victim underwent surgery and is currently listed in stable condition. A suspect has been arrested for this shooting, Lloyd Courville (B/M, 17, of Lafayette, LA). Mr. Courville was booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and booked on one count of attempted second-degree murder. This investigation is ongoing, and an update will be disseminated once additional information is obtained.

LAFAYETTE, LA (Jun. 14, 2024, 9:01 p.m.) – On June 14, 2024, at 8:04 p.m., The Lafayette Police Department (LPD) responded to the 100 block of Van Buren Drive about a shooting incident in progress. Upon arrival, LPD Officers located one juvenile male victim on the scene suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim has been transported to a local hospital for treatment, and it is unknown what the extent of his injuries are at this time. LPD Investigators were called out to the crime scene, and this shooting is currently under investigation.
