Use of fireworks during the 2024 Independence Day celebrations in Broussard, Louisiana, will be between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. from June 30 to July 5, 2024.
The Broussard Police Department provides the following safety tips for fireworks safety:
- An adult should always light fireworks.
- Keep matches and lighters away from children.
- Use fireworks outdoors only.
- Light only one firework at a time and move away quickly.
- Keep children and pets away from fireworks.
- Always remember – do not hold fireworks or hold them in your hands.
