LAFAYETTE, LA (July 17, 2024) – On July 16, 2024, the Lafayette Police Department Narcotics Unit, in conjunction with the Lafayette Police Department SWAT Team, served a search warrant in the 300 block of Guilbeau Road. As a result, Officers recovered over 12 pounds of high-grade Marijuana (DEA street value of $110,190), 713 milliliters of Promethazine/Codeine (DEA street value of $1,426), assorted drug paraphernalia, an AK47 rifle, three AR15-style pistols, and three handguns.
The following suspects were placed under arrest and were booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center:
Dakaythan Andrus, 21, of Lafayette, LA was charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule V Narcotic
- Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance (7 counts)
- Violation of Protective Orders
Courtney Martin, 19, of Lafayette, LA was charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule V Narcotic
- Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance (7 counts)
Jaqualin Marshall, 18, of Scott, LA was charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule V Narcotic
- Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance (7 counts)
Billy Coleman, 19, of Raceland, LA was charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule V Narcotic
- Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance (7 counts)
Kyeandre Poindexter, 19, of Carencro, LA was charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
- Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule V Narcotic
- Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance (7 counts)
