YOUNGSVILLE, LA (September 13, 2024) – The Youngsville Police Department (YPD) wants to address the rumors that there were threats to ARCA today via Snapchat. There were no direct threats to the school. A few children were sharing Snapchat messages with vague hearsay information. All of the children involved have been spoken to and dealt with by law enforcement in conjunction with the school administration.

YPD states that it is committed to ensuring the safety of our schools and pledges to promptly address any concerns with the highest priority. In addition to having School Resource Officers, YPD will conduct extra patrols at all schools in Youngsville today.

YPD advises the public, “Rest assured, we are actively working to keep our schools safe.”
