BROUSSARD, LA (October 15, 2024) – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced that $825,000 in federal grants from the Louisiana Rural Infrastructure Program (LRIP) will be used to construct a direct railroad line to a cluster of outstanding Broussard businesses, including SafeSource Direct, Gulf Island Services, and Aquaspersions.

This support from DOTD helps attract new industrial customers and businesses to Broussard and supports current businesses by providing a new option for transporting their products.
