LAFAYETTE, LA (November 11, 2024) – On November 8, 2024, at 11:43 p.m., Officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 800 block of East Vermilion Street about a shooting. One victim was located at the scene with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. A second victim was located at a local hospital, also with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The investigation is still ongoing.
