LAFAYETTE, LA (December 3, 2024, 12:11 a.m.– All lanes of travel are now open.
LAFAYETTE, LA (December 3, 2024) – The Lafayette Police Department has closed I-49 north and southbound due to an 18-wheeler carrying a large load striking the overpass of I-10 eastbound. I-10 eastbound is also closed to traffic at I-49. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
An update will be provided when the roadways have reopened.
