Fire Damages Mobile Home

LAFAYETTE, LA (January 4, 2025) – At 1:50 p.m., Lafayette firefighters responded to a mobile home fire in the 100 block of Hebert Road. When firefighters arrived, heavy flames were coming from the mobile home. First responders entered the dwelling to extinguish the fire and search for possible occupants. No one was inside. The occupant was at a neighbor’s house. Firefighters brought the fire under control quickly, preventing damage to neighboring mobile homes. The mobile home sustained heavy fire damage.

The mobile home occupant left his home approximately 20 minutes before a neighbor reported the fire. Fire officials determined the fire originated in the living room. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
