AWS Collections Resume January 24

Lafayette, LA (January 23, 2025) – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) and Acadiana Waste Services (AWS) announce AWS will resume curbside residential trash collection on Friday, January 24. All other curbside services (recycling, yard waste, etc.) are suspended to prioritize the removal of residential trash utilizing all available trucks, staff, and equipment.

  • Tuesday and Wednesday trash routes will be collected on Friday, January 24.
  • Thursday and Friday trash routes will be collected on Saturday, January 25.

All curbside collections will resume normal operations beginning Monday, January 27.

LCG and AWS remain committed to the quick and safe removal of trash and sincerely appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during this historic weather event. For any questions regarding AWS collection services, please call 337-205-7710.
