UPDATE: Lafayette Parish Water Distribution to Continue January 24

Lafayette, LA (January 24, 2025) – Water distribution at Scott City Hall has been extended to 5:00 p.m.

Lafayette, LA (January 23, 2025) – Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG) and the Lafayette Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (OHSEP) announced water distribution sites for Lafayette Parish residents in need of this critical resource earlier today.

Water distribution efforts including bottled water and access to potable water tankers will continue Friday, January 24, 2025 at the following locations:

  • Youngsville Sports Complex
    • Address: 801 Savoy Rd, Youngsville, LA 70592
    • Operating Hours: 10:00 am until 5:00 pm
  • Scott City Hall
    • Address: 125 Lions Club Road, Scott, LA 70583
    • Operating Hours: 7:30 am until 12:00 pm Extended to 5:00 p.m,
    • Note: A 6,000-gallon tanker truck will be onsite Friday, January 24 in addition to existing bottled water distribution.

Please be advised that the Carencro Fire Station No. 3 distribution site is no longer operational as the community’s needs have been met.

Important reminders for residents:

  • Limit 1 bottled water case per family.
  • Bring containers to fill with potable water as a spigot will be available for easy access.
  • Bring ID/provide proof of Lafayette Parish residency in an effort to ensure availability for all.
