Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office confirms the arrest of a deputy

Lafayette, LA (March 3, 2025) – The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) confirms Matthew Frost’s arrest on two counts of cruelty to juveniles. In recent weeks, the LPSO learned that one of our deputies was possibly involved in non-work-related criminal activity.

Immediately after being notified, we contacted the Louisiana State Police and asked them to investigate the allegations.

As a result of the State Police’s investigation, Frost was arrested and immediately placed on administrative leave without pay.
