BROUSSARD, LA (Mar. 11, 2025) – A firefighters organization, The Cajun FOOLS, is hosting a special relay competition to benefit Fire Captain Erik Mannting, injured in a fire on January 1, 2025. Proceeds from the event will go directly to Mannting for his medical bills, rehabilitation, and recovery.
The event will feature food and music, and everyone is invited to attend, bring their families, and enjoy a great time together—everyone is welcome. The competition is open to anyone interested in participating for a good cause.
General public entry fee: $20
Firefighter entry fee: $25
