Broussard and Youngsville, LA (April 15, 2026) — Elections will be held for mayor, police chief, and city council members in both the City of Broussard and the City of Youngsville. The elections will take place on November 3, 2026. Candidate qualifying will be held July 29 through July 31, 2026.
BY Local News Media will send a candidate questionnaire to all qualifying candidates for these races in both cities.
Residents of Broussard and Youngsville who would like to submit a question for possible inclusion in the candidate questionnaires are invited to do so. Questions may be emailed to CandidateQuestions@bylocalnews.com.
Each submission must include the sender’s name, address, and phone number for verification purposes only. This information will not be included in any published questionnaire.
Please specify whether your question is intended for a mayor, police chief, or city council candidate.
The deadline to submit questions is 5 p.m. on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Questionnaires will be emailed to candidates once candidate qualifying ends.
