Youngsville, LA (May 1, 2026 ) – The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) released the annual final 2025 water grades for community water systems across Louisiana. According to the LDF website, this process creates accountability for water systems and provides transparency for water system customers.
The 2025 water grades are for the City of Youngsville Water System and City of Youngsville Purchased Water System.

Score – 103/100 (for 2024, the Score was 104; for 2023, the Score was 76)
Grade – A (2025) (for 2024, the Grade was A; for 2023, the Grade was a C)
City of Youngsville Purchase Water System (Public Water System ID (PWSID) – LA1055195)
Score – 99/100 (for 2024, the Score was 102; for 2023, the Score was 90)
Grade – A (2025) (for 2024, the Grade was A; for 2023, the Grade was a A)
Community Drinking Water Accountability Rule
“Act 98 of the 2021 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature authorized the Louisiana Department of Health Safe Drinking Water Program to develop a grade for community water system accountability. This would provide for the issuance of a letter grade reflective of community water system quality and performance. LDH detemines letter grades based on 7 Standards evaluating the infrastructure, accountability, and over all health risk of drinking water to consumers.” [source]
