Patch at the Park; Ribbon Cutting at the YSC Expansion; Unveiling of Inclusive Playset – October 6, 2024

On October 6, 2024, a ribbon cutting will be held at the Youngsville Sports Complex (YSC) Expansion, the opening of the new inclusive playset, and the Youngsville Rotary Club’s Annual Patch at the Park (formerly Patch at the Pond). In addition to the day’s activities, there will be a Sports for All game and a pickleball tournament.

The YSC expansion is located at Detente Road and Railroad Street in Youngsville, Louisiana.

Youngsville Sports Complex Expansion Ribbon Cutting

The City of Youngsville will hold an official ribbon-cutting at 9:30 a.m. on October 6, 2024, for the grand opening of the YSC expansion. The expansion includes collegiate baseball fields, pickleball courts, corn hole courts, an inclusive playground, and concessions.

Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter will address the crowd at the amphitheater between 10 and 11 a.m. and thank all those who participated in the YSC Expansion project.

Lions Club Inclusive Playset Opening

The Lions Club Inclusive Playset, a project of the Youngsville Lions Club located in the YSC Expansion, will be opened. The playset provides a safe and fun environment for children with and without disabilities to play together, fostering physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.

After the ribbon cutting, the Rotary Club of Youngville will host its 4th Annual Patch at the Park from 10:00 to 6 p.m. The event, which will be the first event at the YSC Expansion, will be held at the amphitheater.

All funds raised will go toward service projects, scholarship programs, and grant programs that benefit the community.

Patch at the Park will feature live music, pumpkins for the kids, over 60 craft and food vendors, music, and fall photo opportunities.

The music lineup includes:

  • Hunter Courville & Cajun Fever from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • School of Rock from 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Cajun Dulcimer from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.
  • Josh Taylor from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m.
  • Route Krewefrom 5 to 6 p.m.
  • Mike Jamez Entertainment, a disc jockey, will play on and off throughout the event

  • Small Pie Pumpkin (a ticket will be given for the child to receive one pumpkin)

  • Games
  • Obstacle Course
  • Fun Jump
