Christian Robertson and his wife Blair moved to Broussard, Louisiana, in 2017 after living in Denver, Colorado, for three years.
Robertson is a native of Morgan City, and Blair is a native of Pierre Part, Louisiana. The couple married in 2012, and shortly afterward, they decided to move to Denver to serve on a church plant team. After three years, they wanted to move closer to home and family and start their own family. They have a young son and daughter, with another son on the way.
While in junior high school, Robertson said he had always wanted to go into the medical field and had written a paper on sports medicine. He had dreams of playing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) when he was in junior high. His English teacher told him there were many aspiring to become a basketball player and suggested to Robertson to look at doing something more specific to sports in medicine that would allow him to be part of sports and be in the medical field. Taking the time to look at his options is how he decided to be an athletic trainer, which allowed him to be with the players to help support them with injury prevention and rehabilitation.
In 2012, Robertson received an undergraduate degree in sports medicine/athletic training from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL-L). In 2018, he received a Master’s in health care administration from Louisiana State University at Shreveport.
Robertson, who has been in the orthopedics field for over ten years, works as an EpicCare Ambulatory Analyst at Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center and holds a part-time position as an athletic trainer, his previous job before becoming an analyst. Additionally, he serves as an adjunct professor at UL-L, teaching a sports medicine class. He is a member of the National Athletics Trainers Association (NATA).
As for hobbies, Robertson was into theater in high school and moved on to film work. His acting coach and mentor is local actress and director Rachel Whittle. He has worked on several projects with her over the last five to six years. Recently, he was able to attend Whittle’s premiere of Protocol-7.
He plays piano, tennis, and basketball and loves going out for coffee and watching action movies. The latest action movie he watched was Land of Bad, an Army action movie.
Robertson and his family are active members of Crossroads Church in Lafayette, where he serves as a small group leader and plays the piano.
Although Robertson lives in south Louisiana, he is an Atlanta Falcons fan. One of his good friends, who lives in New Orleans, is a huge Saints fan. The two friends can often be seen on Facebook taking playful jabs at each other about their favorite football team.
Lastly, when offering Robertson a soft drink, ensure it is Coca-Cola®, as he is an avid fan of Coca-Cola®.
