The Louisiana Municipal Association (LMA) convention took place in Shreveport, Louisiana, this past weekend.
Broussard Mayor Ray Bourque, Public Works Director Mel Bertrand, and some staff members from City Hall attended the convention.
During the convention, Bourque became the LMA’s eighty-sixth First Vice President for 2024-2025. He will become President next year.
Attendees of the convention participated in continuing education classes during the convention.
According to its website, the LMA is “A unified voice for Louisiana’s municipal governments, the Louisiana Municipal Association’s (LMA) mission is to advocate, educate, and empower local governments to efficiently and effectively serve the citizens of Louisiana.”
