YOUNGSVILLE, LA On April 5, 2025, the City of Youngsville hosted its annual Litter Pick-Up Day as part of the statewide Love the Boot Week campaign. The litter pick-up event is organized under the city’s “Keep Youngsville Beautiful” initiative that encourages residents to take pride in a clean community.
More than 60 volunteers gathered early Saturday morning to help. Participants included local residents, Southside High School’s BETA Club, ARCA High’s Interact Club, Krewe La Vie Doux, and the Rotary Club of Youngsville—all showing community spirit and coming together for a shared purpose.
Volunteers were provided with everything needed to safely collect litter, including trash bags, gloves, and pickers. This year also introduced blue bags designated for recycling water bottles and aluminum cans as part of the Love the Boot Week campaign.
Local businesses helped fuel the volunteers; McDonald’s and Home Cut Donus provided breakfast while Acadiana Bottling Company provided drinks.
Keeping Youngsville beautiful is something we call play a part in. It’s a great reminder that “Keeping Youngsville Beautiful Starts With You.”
