Cassidy Announces $5.6 Million for Louisiana in Hurricane Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $5,565,046.50 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief. The Calcasieu Parish School Board will receive $3,327,984.22 for permanent work to Sulphur High School as a result of Hurricane Laura. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport will receive $2,237,062.28 for permanent work to the MSY Campus Facilities as a result of Hurricane Ida.

“Louisiana remains strong in the aftermath of Hurricanes Laura and Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will help our communities continue to recover and prepare for the next storm.”
