Cassidy Announces Over $8 Million for Hurricane Ida Recovery

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $8,052,763.14 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for permanent repairs and recovery efforts following Hurricane Ida.

“Southeast Louisiana took the worst of Hurricane Ida,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding helps return schools, recreation centers, and critical infrastructure to these communities.”

$1,643,621.32Academy of the Sacred Heart of New OrleansThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to the Mater Campus Education Building damaged by Hurricane Ida.
$4,262,341.50Terrebonne Parish Recreation District #4This grant will provide federal funding for permanent replacement of the Grand Caillou Recreation Center as a direct result of Hurricane Ida.
$1,138,757.94Lafourche Parish School BoardThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to South Lafourche High School athletic facilities damaged by Hurricane Ida.
$1,008,042.38St. John the Baptist ParishThis grant will provide federal funding for permanent repairs to sewer lift stations damaged by Hurricane Ida.
