MADISONVILLE, LA (September 5, 2024) – Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) today released the following statement on the passing of Sybil Morial, the first African-American First Lady of New Orleans and civil rights trailblazer.
“Sybil Morial lived a life of love, courage and service and worked every day to make the promise of America a reality,” said Kennedy.
