Broussard resident Nolan Gaskin doesn’t just fish for bass, he fishes for bass on the pro-circuit. Gaskin is a Florida native who came to Broussard fifteen years ago to fish and to be more centrally located to the locations where he fishes.

Gaskin has been fishing for the last thirty-five years with the last four years bass fishing as a professional fisherman participating in bass fishing tournaments.

Part of Gaskin’s love of fishing is the adrenaline rush he gets from being part of the fishing competitions. He is ready with his new Phoenix Bass Boat for his 2023 bass fishing competitions. Phoenix Boats are built by anglers for anglers.

Anyone can fish in the Major League Fishing Toyota Series Fishing Tour. In order to get to the Tackle Warehouse Invitationals one must first qualify by fishing in the Toyota Series. Gaskin qualified for the Tackle Warehouse Invitationals by finishing seventh in points in the Toyota Series Southern Division.

Coming in first place in a competition awards the winner with $100,000. An additional $15,000 is awarded if the winner has a Phoenix Bass Boat.

He previously fished non-competitively at Toledo Bend and has fished professionally at Sam Rayburn in the Southwestern Division of the Toyota Series.
