FOR RELEASE:

David Eaton for Louisiana Exploratory Committee

Youngsville, LA Bayou Vermilion District Board of Commissioner’s President David Eaton said this weekend that he is “heavily considering” a run for State House District 49, currently held by Representative Blake Miguez, who is seeking a higher position.

Eaton says Louisiana will be facing very serious and challenging questions after the current gubernatorial administration departs. Over the last three years, Eaton has assisted in leading the Bayou Vermilion District Board to a fiscally responsible position turning lost revenue into a surplus.

Eaton says that if he decides to run, he will focus on education, fiscal responsibility, oil & gas, jobs, and restoring public trust in Baton Rouge.

“We need to get to work to make Louisiana the best place to live, work, and raise a family. She has some of the best natural resources in the world, and the most resilient people in the country. It’s beyond time to get to work”.., Eaton says.

Eaton said that a formal decision will be announced before the end of January. David and his family are allowing God to lead this decision.
