Other Resolutions for Adoption
The following resolutions were not on the original agenda published but were added to an amended agenda. The City Council members approved both resolutions for adoption.
Resolution #749-23 – A resolution authorizing the execution of an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Lafayette Parish Consolidated Government for Garber Road Improvements.
Resolution #750-23 – A resolution accepted the high bid that meets or exceeds $10,000, regardless of whether the previous minimum value is $20,000 is met. Mayor Ray Bourque said this has to do with the City working with Louisiana Municipal Advisory and Technical Services Bureau (LA MAT) on the city’s railcars for auction.
An unnamed city seeks to obtain one of the two railcars for auction. That city’s bid was the highest bid at $10,000, which is lower than the minimum value of $20,000; this resolution allows the City of Broussard to accept the bid of $10,000 for the railcar.
