Former Broussard Mayor Langlinais Passed Away

From Broussard Mayor Ray Bourque:

“It is with deep sorrow and regret that we report the passing of longtime City of Broussard Mayor Charles Langlinais early Tuesday morning.

Mayor Langlinais dedicated more than 30 years of his life in service to our city. He served as Mayor of Broussard from January 1991 to December 2018, after serving as a council member from March 1987 to December 1990. During Mayor Langlinais’s terms in office, Broussard experienced exponential growth including the investments of Home Depot, Walmart, Stine Lumber, and Albertsons Grocery into our community. Our city also saw the expansion of our infrastructure through the construction of Albertson Parkway and Ambassador Caffery under his leadership. His legacy will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mayor Langlinais’s family. All city flags will be flown at half-staff for the next 7 days in honor of his service to Broussard.”
