LAFAYETTE, LA (January 20, 2025) – With the upcoming freeze, Lafayette Utility System (LUS) urges customers to observe water conservation efforts. This is to help ensure enough water is available for critical public health and safety needs, such as hospitals and emergency services like fire protection.
LUS is requesting its customers not to drip or run faucets during the freeze. The request applies to its retail and 3rd party customers, including but not limited to Youngsville and Broussard.
