Rest and Bicycle Station

Located along the cement walking path near the corner of Main Street and Springwater Drive in Broussard, one can find a rest and bicycle station.

Gateway Sign Updates

The City of Broussard's Entrance Gateway Sign is receiving some updates. Balls are being placed on top of both taller pedestals and a ball on top of the lower pedestal of the sign where the Broussard name is located.

Pinhook Road Intermittent Lane Closures

Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures in the northbound and southbound outside lanes of Pinhook Road between Mall Street and Jomela Drive for two weeks beginning Tuesday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 21.

Concrete Poured for Splash Pad

The start for a three-thousand square foot splash pad has been started. The splash pad is located at the Youngsville Sports Complex.

Envision Broussard Wins Award

Envision Broussard, an beautification and infrastructure improvement project for the City of Broussard, recently received a Reader's Choice Award from the The Current's In Design Awards 2023.

A resident in a subdivision in Broussard has decorated an old newspaper box and placed it near the sidewalk in front of their home.

Raising Canes Tennis Facility Wins Award

According to Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter, the Raising Canes Tennis Facility at the Youngsville Sports Complex has been awarded a Premier Facility Award from the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

Thomas Park Skatepark

A new and improved skatepark will be coming to Thomas Park later this year, after Lafayette’s only skate park closed in 2018, leaving skateboarders without a place to call their own.

Lane Closure – US 167 at Duhon

The left turn lanes on US 167 (Johnston Street) in the southbound and northbound directions at its intersection with Duhon Road/Southcity Parkway will be closed beginning at Friday, March 3 at 7:00 a.m. until Monday, May 1, 2023, weather permitting.
