YOUNGSVILLE, LA (March 21, 2025) – The gym at Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (ARCA) High School buzzed with energy as juniors, seniors, and volunteers this morning for ARCA’s Annual Adulting Day.
Students rotated through hands-on stations operated by volunteers, where they learned essential life skills such as ironing clothes, tying a tie, giving a professional handshake, and even changing a tire.
Students also shared their aspirations for the future. In her second year at ARCA, Junior Keely Broussard particularly enjoyed the station on swamp camps. After high school, she plans to study ministry at Our Savior’s College in Lafayette. Her favorite subject is English Language Arts (ELA); she loves playing and singing worship music.
Aiden Pineda, a junior, has been attending ARCA for five years. He plans on attending college after graduation but is still deciding on a field of study. He was impressed by the large number of volunteers at the event and appreciated the wide range of career paths presented.
Senior Jordan Stabile, who has been at ARCA for two years, ran a station offering relationship advice. He plans to major in business and play basketball in college, with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL), Louisiana State University (LSU), and the University of Dallas among his top choices. He was also struck by the generosity of the volunteers who shared their time and expertise. In his free time, Stabile enjoys playing music and singing R&B. His best relationship advice? “Always love, and love will come back to you.”
ARCA’s Annual Adulting Day was a valuable experience that equipped students with real-world skills and inspired them to think about their futures.
