Lafayette, LA (April 29, 2026) — The Lafayette Parish School System has appointed Nancy Credeur as director of educational technology, according to information released by the school system.
Credeur brings more than 25 years of experience in education, including roles as a classroom teacher, instructional leader, and school administrator. She began her career at Alice Boucher Elementary School and later spent 12 years at Ridge Elementary School as both a teacher and instructional strategist.
Most recently, Credeur served as assistant principal and principal at Green T. Lindon Elementary School. She was named the LPSS Elementary Principal of the Year for the 2025 to 2026 school year.
Credeur holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a Master of Education in educational leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
In a statement provided by the school system, Credeur said she looks forward to working with district leadership and staff to advance technology in schools.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with our district leaders in an effort to move technology in our school system forward,” she said. “I am excited to work with the dedicated technology team as we continue to support our schools, enhance learning opportunities, and build a strong foundation for the future.”
Superintendent Francis Touchet Jr. said Credeur’s experience and leadership make her well suited for the position.
“Nancy understands our classrooms because she has led in them,” Touchet said. “She will help ensure our students and staff have the tools they need to succeed.”
