Scott Brazda Changes the Channel to KADN

Starting Monday, July 24, 2023, a familiar face from Acadiana will be on the KADN’s morning show. Scott Brazda, who has been with KATC since 1990, “changes the channel” to KADN to co-anchor its weekday morning show.

Lafayette, La., July 21, 2023 – Scott Brazda, a popular fixture of Acadiana’s television news landscape for more than 30 years is making the move to a new home effective Monday morning, July 24, when he debuts with the News 15 Today team as co-anchor of Acadiana’s premiere source for morning news, community events and local lifestyle coverage.

“I’m excited and honored to be a part of this dynamic News 15 Today team and this excellent morning show,” says Brazda. “I’m looking forward to continuing to tell the stories that matter most and capture the spirit of our special Acadiana community.”

Brazda joins a notable cast that is an established part of the morning routine for many TV viewers across Acadiana, including co-anchor Alex Worstell, Storm Track 15 meteorologist Adam Olivier and man-about-town Al Hebert.

Brazda’s career in Acadiana television dates back to 1990 when he first appeared on the air locally at KATC. Over several decades’ time, he’s anchored every one of the newscasts there – mornings, evenings and weekends – as well as provided signature reports on events impacting the lives of those of us proud to call Acadiana home. His focused reporting on our community is something that will continue at his new home at News 15.

“We’re thrilled that Scott Brazda is switching channels and joining the winning team at News 15,” said Jim Parker, Executive Director of News & Public Affairs for KADN FOX 15 and KLAF-NBC. “Scott has a true commitment and dedication to keeping Acadiana informed and we welcome him to his new home on News 15 Today every morning.”
