During the December 14, 2023 Youngsville City Council meeting, Mayor Ken Ritter presented a key to the city to former council member Ken Stansbury.

Stansbury served as City Council Member for Division D from 2015 to 2013. He was Mayor Pro-Tempore from 2021 to 2022.

Stansbury resigned from the City Council in October 2023 after he won his bid for election for Lafayette Parish Council District 3. He will take office in January 2024.

In presenting the key to Stansbury, Ritter stated, “Ken has been a cornerstone of our community, serving as a City Councilman from 2015 to 2023 and as Mayor Pro-Tempore from 2021 to 2022. His leadership, commitment, dedication, and love for our city have played an integral role in making Youngsville the community that it is today.”
