LAFAYETTE, LA (Apr. 29, 2024) – “As the District 9 Representative for Lafayette Parish School System, I vehemently oppose Joe Biden and the Federal Government’s assault on the rights of Louisiana’s students, teachers, and parents with their new Title IX rule. I am very happy to see that our Louisiana Attorney General, Liz Murrill, and our Governor, Jeff Landry, have already taken action against this mandate.
I’ve spoken to our Superintendent and he commits that he will not implement these overreaching ideals and I respectfully call on our entire school district to stand against this outrageous mandate.
It’s simple, boys will play BOYS sports, and girls will play GIRLS sports and they will use their respective biological restrooms and locker rooms, period. I am committed to upholding our values AND keeping our children safe.”
