A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at noon to mark the opening of the meal site. Father Michael Russo of St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville led in prayer.

Meals will be readily accessible at the VFW Hall and conveniently available Monday through Friday for those eligible for the program. For those unable to attend, we will ensure delivery to your doorstep.

Koridea Phillips with LCOA was on hand to cut the ribbon. Phillips has been with the organization for forty-five years, beginning as a driver delivering meals to homebound participants. She now serves as the organization’s nutrition coordinator.

VFW members, Youngsville Mayor Ken Ritter, City Council Members, Chief of Police Cody Louviere and others attended the ribbon cutting.

For more information on the meal program, visit the Lafayette Council on Aging website.
