Commercial Fire at Southwest Stor-N-Lock

Lafayette, LA – On Monday, November 6, 2023, at 5:43 p.m., Lafayette firefighters responded to a commercial fire at the Southwest Stor-N-Lock storage building at 201 Rayburn Street in Lafayette, Louisiana. Heavy smoke was coming from a small storage unit when firefighters arrived. Firefighters forced open the roll-up door and discovered the fire inside. The fire was under control within fifteen minutes. Six storage units sustained fire and smoke damage.

A witness walking in the neighborhood noticed the smoke and reported it to the business management. They immediately called 911.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
