Mobile Home Fire – 131 Hebert Road

News Release

Lafayette, LA – At 11:08 this morning, Lafayette firefighters responded to a mobile home fire at 131 Hebert Road. The homeowner smelled smoke inside her home. She heard popping sounds coming from outside. When she went to the door to check, she noticed the shed next to her home on fire. The homeowner immediately called 911.

Firefighters arrived on scene within 4 minutes to a shed entirely involved with fire. The heat from the fire ignited the vinyl siding of the mobile home. The exterior, attic, and a portion of the interior sustained heavy fire damage. No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
